Vomenta answers your company's phone with an AI agent that asks your qualification questions, saves the project as a lead and texts you the summary. How the AI qualifies a new project call
The agent asks the questions your estimator would ask, says what you do and do not take, and texts you the summary before the caller hangs up.
- 01
It answers as your company
The call rings the agent directly, or reaches it from a call flow when you are on site and after hours. It greets the caller with your company name and asks about the project.
- 02
It asks your qualification questions
Project type, property location, a rough budget range, the timeline, whether plans or permits exist, and how the caller found you. You set the list, and the agent follows it in order.
- 03
It says what you take and what you do not
Minimum job size, service area and the trades you cover come from the knowledge base. A caller outside them is told so politely, and the lead is still saved with the reason.
- 04
It saves the lead and texts you
The answers are saved as a lead in your CRM and on the contact. The agent texts the summary to the owner or estimator you set, tells the caller when the estimator will call, and texts the caller a confirmation.
- 05
It rings your project manager when a person is needed
A client with a problem on an active job, or any caller who asks for a person, is transferred. The project manager's phone rings in the Vomenta app, and the agent stays with the caller until someone answers.
When a person is needed. A client with a problem on an active job reaches a person. The AI rings the project manager in the app with the details already collected.

AI or a human answering service for construction?
A live answering service puts an operator on the call. Vomenta puts an AI agent on it, with your own team one ring away.
| Human answering service | Vomenta AI answering service | |
|---|---|---|
| Answer time | Callers hold while operators handle other accounts. | Every call is answered at once, while you keep both hands on the job. |
| Lead quality | An operator takes a name and a number. | The agent asks your qualification questions, saves the lead in your CRM and texts you the summary. |
| After-hours cover | Usually a higher tier or a per-call surcharge. | Included. A time-check step in your call flow sends after-hours and overflow calls to the agent. |
| Who takes over | The service's operators, who do not know your jobs. | Your own project manager, rung in the app with the client and the job already identified. |
| Records | A message by email or text. | The lead in your CRM and the transcript, summary and recording on the contact. |
| Pricing | Per call or per minute, with overage charges in the busy season. | $64 per month for the smallest setup, plus 1.5¢ per inbound minute and AI usage. |

Construction answering service: common questions
How does the AI qualify a new project?
You write the questions, and the agent asks them in order: project type, location, budget range, timeline, plans and permits, and how the caller found you. It checks the answers against your minimum job size and service area, saves the lead in your CRM and texts the summary to the owner or estimator you set.
Can it text me the lead while I am on site?
Yes. During the call the agent can send an SMS, a WhatsApp message or an email with the details to any number or address you set. It cannot forward the call itself to an outside mobile number. If you want the caller connected to your mobile, use a transfer step in a call flow.
What does it do with subcontractor and supplier calls?
It takes the message with the job name and the details, and texts it to the site manager you listed for that job. If the caller needs an answer now, it rings your team in the app.
What happens when a client has a problem on an active job?
The agent transfers the call to the project manager's team. Their phones ring in the Vomenta app, and the agent stays with the client while they ring. If nobody is free within two minutes, it tells the client, takes the message and sends it by text.
Can it book estimates into my scheduling software?
If your software has an API, the agent can create the appointment through a custom HTTP tool. There is no ready-made connector for contractor software or for Google and Microsoft calendars yet. Without an API, the agent records the preferred time and emails the request to your office.
What does it cost for a small contractor?
One Starter seat at $29 per month plus the AI Voice Agent add-on at $35 per agent per month, which is $64 per month. Calls are metered at 1.5¢ per inbound minute, and AI usage is billed at the provider's cost plus a markup, or with no markup on your own provider key. There is no per-call fee.
Does it speak Spanish?
You can choose from more than 30 languages or let the engine detect the caller's language. Coverage depends on the engine you pick, and greetings and call endings are tuned for English and Turkish. Make a Spanish test call during the trial before you point your number at the agent.
How long does setup take?
An afternoon for most companies. Write the instructions and the qualification questions, upload the seven knowledge-base items listed above, set who receives each kind of message, and point your number at the agent. The 14-day free trial includes $25 of usage credit and needs no credit card.
